b) Prague – Slapy – Prague – 100km

The start of this cruise is in the center of Prague, the capital city. During the cruise you will pass all historical monuments in Prague.

Prague

From the board you can see panoramic view to Prague Castle which is enrolled to the List of heritage sites by UNESCO. From the boat you can see whole historical center of Prague including the Charles Bridge, the Rudolfinum, the National Theatre, the Dancing House, the Petrin hill, the Vyšehrad and many more world famous places. Not everybody has a chance to see it from a board! Now you can stay and look into the Castle how much time you want. Whole Prague with a long history is prepared for you to have an amazing trip.

When you enjoy the Prague center enough, you can start to sail more south to the Prague part Štvanice and Smíchov. There is one duty to be there untill 11 o´clock because after that time you have to have a licence to pass through. After passing Štvanice and Smíchov you have to go through the Vrané reservoir. There is 10m high lock which hight may be interesting and respectfull for you. But this is not the end! Saint John the Baptist was an itinerant preacher and a major religious figure in Christianity, Islam, the Bahá'í Faith and Mandaeism. John is described as having the unique practice of baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Most scholars agree that John baptized Jesus. According to the New Testament, John anticipated a messianic figure greater than himself and Jesus was the one whose coming John foretold. Christians commonly refer to John as the precursor or forerunner of Jesus, since John announces Jesus' coming. John is also identified with the prophet Elijah.

If you have an interest, you can leave the boat in Davle town and go up the hill Ďábel which is indicated as the geometric center of Bohemia. Davle is also the town with the neobaroque chapel of The Visitation of Panna Maria from the years 1897 – 1898. There is also the iron bridge over the Vltava and his memorial of Vltava swimmers.

Leaving Davle behind you, you will set out on a route not less interesting: you can navigate through very pretty scenery and deep locks set in the pretty, stereo-sided valley and leading to the Štěchovice dam. Your last point will be the dam of the beautiful Lake Slapy. There you can swim and take a sunbath on the beach.
